Free Family Movie Nights this Summer at Avaya Stadium

Summer is watching movies outdoors. Most drive-in movies have gone away, but thankfully parks and backyard screens have popped up to keep this summer activity alive.

The San Jose Earthquakes are taking this to a bigger level, a stadium level, by opening up Avaya Stadium for a series of free family movie nights in July and August.

The Movies Nights are free for all ages, and parking is free, too. Movie viewing is on the lawn of the 7UP Epicenter area, and fans are allowed to bring chairs and blankets for comfort, plus one bottle of water per person. Outside food is not allowed because food and drink are available for purchase inside the stadium. Movie start time is TBD.

The five-week movie schedule lineup:

  • July 19 – Toy Story 1
  • July 26 – Up
  • Aug. 2 – Monsters Inc.
  • Aug. 9 – Happy Feet
  • Aug. 16 – Moana
