We returned home from our first family trip to Disney World one week ago, but it feels like a months have passed since then. I was fortunate enough to get one of the coveted invitations to the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration and the six weeks or so between the invitation and our arrival at the property, this trip occupied much of our imagination. (We’re regulars at Disneyland, but Disney World is a totally different beast, and we’ve learned a lot that I will be sharing.) It was a true celebration.
Just before we left on the trip, we made a decision to leave all of the stress at home. Disney magic kept all of the school conflicts and life stress at bay. It was six days of family fun, giant sundaes, fireworks, a lazy river with a waterslide, theme dinners, new rides and classic ones that were just a little different from what we knew.
I miss that bubble. When we landed Monday night, it all came back: the sports schedules, the school drama, work, catch up work, more school drama, and more. Without the pictures, it would seem like a dream.
It was a dream, but one that really happened. We’ll show where we stayed, where we ate, and all of those differences that Disneyland fans need to know when traveling to WDW. This way we can live in that magical week a little longer.
