Celebrate Pi Day With Sum Fun

imgresYep, it’s March 14 or 3.14, which means it is Pi Day! Celebrating Pi Day seems to grow in popularity every year, but then most people will celebrate any occasion if it means pie.

The Exploratorium has free admission in honor of the day, and this afternoon, it will even pass out free pieces of pie. A schedule of events is on their website. If you can’t make it to San Francisco, the Exploritorium has a list of activities to do at home.

If you’re reading this before lunch, Patxi’s Pizza is offering a special lunch deal at all locations, including Palo Alto, San Francisco, and San Jose. Get a slice of Chicago-style pizza or thin crust, a salad, and a drink, for $3.14 between 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., as long as you are a Facebook fan of Patxi’s. The pizza lunch normally runs $9.99.

Eat out tonight at the Children’s Discovery Museum in San Jose as they celebrate Pi Day. The family event will feature math games and activities, and also pie for sale, in both the pizza and dessert form. Pizza and Marie Callender’s pie will be on sale for $3.14 a slice at the event, which runs from 6:30 – 8 p.m.
