Head to Half Moon Bay, grab a beer, and listen to San Francisco Giants President and Chief Executive Officer Larry Baer talk future prospects this Thursday night. Half Moon Bay Brewing Company is hosting Baer night as part of its regular Brews and Views series to talk about his life growing up in San Francisco, working with the Giants, and what is in store for the 2014 season.
For those who like listening to smart conversations, but find the Commonwealth Club talks inaccessible, Brews and Views is a great solution. The monthly talks were started five years ago by HMB Brewing Co. co-owner Lenny Mendonca to involve the public in discussions about everything from economic development to social issues. This month, Mendonca will talk with Baer about life with the Giants from 6 – 8 p.m. on Jan. 9.
The setting is casual, with no charge for admission or snacks, yet with the full dinner menu available, allowing customers to eat dinner and have a beer while listening to the discussion. Also, feel good while dining because 10% of the proceeds from all dinner sales during the event will be donated to the Cabrillo Education Foundation.
If you’ve never been to Half Moon Bay Brewing Co., it’s kid-friendly with a varied menu that has something for everyone. They have fire pits outside, making it a relaxing place to grab a meal with the kids while watching the sunset and feeling cozy regardless of the chill Half Moon Bay weather.
