Free National Parks to Celebrate MLK Day

imgresThe kids are off school, the weather is lovely, and Muir Woods is a great place for exercise while reflecting. Today is a free admission day for National Parks, including Yosemite, but also the much closer Muir Woods.

For those looking for a more vibrant Martin Luther King Day celebration, the parade and festival in San Francisco is the answer, but those seeking a more peaceful day may want to visit Muir Woods.

Take a peaceful hike through Muir Woods all day Monday without paying admission or a parking fee. The next free admission holiday is Presidents Weekend in February. The full list of participating parks is on the National Parks website.
