A day of service to honor Martin Luther King Jr. and to do something good for the community is being made easy by the Oshman Family JCC in Palo Alto.
This Monday, the Oshman Family JCC has coordinated myriad family-friendly volunteer opportunities, to help your family serve others, as a Mitzvah Day.
There are over 25 projects to choose from, including: Half Moon Bay habitat restoration, packing sack lunches for the homeless, tutor training, helping with elderly, and more. Participants must register in advance, with projects filling up on a first come, first served basis. Projects are open to all ages, unless specified in the description. Come Monday morning, if your project is offsite, show up at the location directly, otherwise meet at the JCC.
