The Container Store Comes to Palo Alto With Great Finds

The Container Store opens this Saturday morning in Palo Alto, which is huge, HUGE news to organization nuts like me. The long drive to the San Jose store is over! Huzzah! We found some great new (to us) organization products, and learned a few reasons to make sure to get to the store this weekend.

  • The Container Store is partnering with TheatreWorks and is donating 10% of the grand opening weekend sales to the nonprofit.
  • There will be prize giveaways every hour on the house throughout the weekend. The big prize each day is a $1,000 elfa space makeover.
  • Each day, the first 100 social media check ins will be awarded a $10 gift card. Just go ahead and post or tweet that you are there, then take your phone to the prize table to show proof of post. Easy 10 bucks.

Now for our finds! As our remodel wrapped up in the spring, I drove to the San Jose store repeatedly for this or that, but it became too far. With the laundry room and two offices yet to be well organized, the Palo Alto location is a great thing. Here are some of the new, beautiful, or things we much need:

(From the top left) The cutest luggage tags; Hook Nook; t-shirt frames (perfect for uniforms); DIY elfa pull out drawers; mounted sports ball holders; a fridge locker for roommates or kids who eat all of the candy; Casabella – I own everything in this photo; beautiful goodie bags; paper straws; paper baking cups; drawer organizers; rolling dog food container; laptop/keyboard feet; holiday bottle ideas; colorful acrylic canisters that look like glass; cute tiny boxes; deodorant remover for clothes (we’ve all been there); boxes in aqua, available in other colors; and finally a clever gift card presentation with dual color ribbon.

The Container Store is located in the Stanford Shopping Center, in the old Andronico’s location, next to Nordstrom and Crate & Barrel. Hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.

The Container Store invited us to take a sneak peek yesterday and provided us with a gift card (the one pictured) to try out the store once it opens. We were not asked for anything in return, yet opted to post because we are big fans.
