The Luna Park Chalk Art Festival is this Saturday in San Jose. The fun event features artists and art students of all levels chalking up Backesto Park for a good cause. Proceeds from the festival benefit the Luna Park Arts Foundation, created to promote the arts in schools through grants and sponsorships.
The sixth annual event is free and runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. In addition to chalk art, there will be craft vendors, a children’s area, music and food trucks (Waffle Amore, Gold Rush Eatery, Mona’s Fruits, Treatbot, Soulnese, Hill Country BBQ, and Barefoot Coffee Mobile). Last year, over 5,000 people attended the festival. Walk the festival, check out the pathways adorned with art, and enjoy yummy food to help support art in schools.

I’m looking for someone to do chalk art this weekend. Is there someone you could recommend?
We don’t know of anyone, but if you contact the chalk event organizers, they can recommend someone locally. Thank you.
