Celebrate and explore creativity during a special event at the Children’s Creativity Museum tomorrow. The best news is that it’s a free day at the museum with tons of bonus activities. Learn music production, design a unique roller coaster, try claymation by making your own stop motion movie, meet Bay Area innovators, and more design challenges during Creativity Day. Beginning at 10 a.m., the event is free for all. While some sessions require a reservation, most are drop in. (If the sessions requiring a reservation are full, there will be waitlists available at the event to fill open slots. The lunar phases workshop aimed at kids 6-9 looks like a good one to try your luck on the waitlist.) There will be a talk on creativity, why it is important, and how to support it at home and school with panelists from from SF Arts Commission, Black Girls CODE, the 5M Project and Pearson Inc.
There will be a screenings of the film Brain Power: From Neurons to Networks, with the early showing for members only.
Enjoy spending the day being creative without distractions of home and don’t forget to stop by the adjacent playground afterward for some active-crazy time. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Children’s Creativity Museum is easily accessible with parking at the Fifth and Mission Garage across from the Metron.
