Geocache your way through San Carlos tomorrow morning during a family scavenger hunt. If you don’t have a GPS, don’t fret, REI in San Carlos will be allowing families to borrow devices for use during the free event. Mobile phones should work, too.
Designed for families, the scavenger hunt combines a tour of the city, with the fun of finding trinkets hidden along the way. Bring back all trinkets found for bigger prizes broken down into categories based on children’s age (e.g. families with children under age six, under age 12, etc.)
The fun begins at the San Carlos Museum of History (533 Laurel Street) and 10 a.m. It is expected to last about two hours. The challenge is free, but participants are asked to register.
The event is part of the annual Week of the Family, which includes tonight’s family game night and roshambo finals at Central Middle School.
