While there’s a big rally for gun control in Washington, D.C. this weekend, San Francisco is hosting a casual stroll. One Million Moms for Gun Control is trying to bring supports together this Saturday morning at Crissy Field. Supporters are asked to make signs and wear their hearts on their sleeves – or anywhere else – by printing out paper hearts – and meet up at the East Beach parking lot near the Beach Hut Cafe & Snack Bar.
For something a little more festive, head over to the Black Cat Vintage in San Jose for a Saturday night watching The Goonies. Wear your pjs, and bring a sleeping bag because the theme for the night is slumber party. Admission is free, and food is available for purchase, including fresh baked goods from Sweets from Nat. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the movie begins at 7 p.m.
