Wildlife Festival at the Youth Science Institute

by admin on October 5, 2012

Celebrate all kinds of wildlife at the Youth Science Institute’s 27th annual Wildlife Festival this Sunday. Who’s afraid of a slithery snake? The festival at Alum Rock Park will feature many live animals to hold, touch, or observe. After that, take a nature hike led by YSI experts, and get crafty with nature-based art projects.

The Wildlife Festival is sponsored by REI and will feature educational exhibits from 15 different environmental groups. REI will be leading geocaching hikes at the event. It’s also a chance to meet San Jose Sharkie!

The event is free, but parking is $6 per car, and donations to YSI are welcome. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
