Go on a Slough Safari This Weekend

Traverse Elkhorn Slough by pontoon boat this weekend during a unique, family friendly event put on by the Marine Science Institute and Elkhorn Slough Safari. See the protected Estuarine Research Reserve, and the many creatures calling it home, including birds, otters, and seals. Learn first hand about estuary life during the tour, from 1 to 3 p.m. Sept. 29. The slough is one of California’s largest wetlands.

Observing wildlife up close is a treat, and riding a pontoon boat is something the kids will brag about to friends.

Cost is $35 child/$45 adult, with a $10 discount for members. Space is limited and reservations are required. Don’t forget your camera!
