Did you know that there is an twice monthly stargazing party open to the public in San Carlos? The free Star Parties in Crestwood Park are hosted by the City of San Carlos and the San Mateo County Astronomical Society. It’s a chance to look at planets and star clusters, try different telescopes, and talk with experienced astronomers. The next event is tomorrow, July 14.
Set up begins at sunset, generally about 8:30 p.m., with observation beginning one hour later. Come for set up, if you’d like to learn about telescope specifics, or coming later if viewing is more your thing.
