Chemistry is the science of matter. Chemistry is the bridge between physics, biology, and geology. And if any of you made soap, a volcano, or peanut brittle in your high school chemistry class, you know that chemistry is also a lot of fun.
On Saturday, July 21 Mad Science will be hosting a free pHantastic pHun event at the Alviso Branch of the San Jose Library. Be blown away by awesome chemical reactions! You’ve seen a rainbow in the sky, now watch one made in a tube. Learn about gravity and balance. Be dazzled by optical illusions.
Once it is all over, be prepared for your child to want to do their own chemical reactions. Mentos and Diet Coke, anyone?
The event is hosted by the Bay Area Science Festival.
