This weekend is the 41st annual Stanford Powwow, where the Eucalyptus Grove is transformed into a Native American festival, featuring two days of traditional drumming and dancing. It’s a great way to expose kids to Native American culture in it’s living form; this isn’t a trip to a former Native American village site, but a thumping and colorful display of heritage.
The free event runs Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., with an invocation and intertribals beginning tonight at 7 p.m.
