Get Back to Nature this Weekend in Pescadero

The Bay Area will be abuzz this weekend with myriad activities celebrating the anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge, but maybe the traffic sounds awful and the crowds worse than a Black Friday sale at Walmart? Get back to basics with Farm Fest this Saturday in Pescadero. It’s the first annual event at Farmstand, celebrating the region’s agricultural heritage and innovative future plans. Pet a chicken, plant some herbs, nosh on organic produce, all for free this Saturday from noon to 5 p.m.

There will be plenty of educational opporunities, including a talk on beekeeping, chicken raising, organic farming, and converting mustard plants into various ag products, including biodiesel.

Enjoy locally roasted organic coffee while the kids experience farm life. It promises to be fun for all!
