Celebrate Earth Week at Happy Hollow

Happy Hollow remains one of my favorite local treasures.  We had a family membership for years when my eldest son was little.  With regular visits during his toddler and preschool years, Happy Hollow has become one of my son’s favorite places too.  After the major remodel of the park a couple of years ago, we started to realize that our oldest son was getting too big for the park and zoo while our youngest was still too tiny for it.  Now that my tiny one is 18 months, we just might make his inagural trip to our beloved Happy Hollow this week.

In celebration of Earth Day on Sunday, Happy Hollow is hosting a week long recycling promotion.  You can receive $4 off regular admission when you bring in:

  • 3 or more used batteries
  • A used cell phone or pager
  • Or ride your bike to Happy Hollow and show your helmet at the gate.
  • The fine print: limit one cell phone per person. Cannot be used with other discounts.
