Get your tree-love on this weekend at Palo Alto’s Mitchell Park where an Arbor Day celebration will not only get you in the green spirit prior to St. Patrick’s Day, but you can learn how to climb a tree. Most people may know how to climb a tree like a kid, but the real, arborist way to climb will be demonstrated as well. Once you’ve seen it happen, you’re welcome to climb high!
There will also be music by the Banana Slug String Band, tree-centric science and art, and many other activities, master garders on hand to answer questions, and much more, all for free. Butterscotch-On-The-Go and Oaxacan Kitchen Mobile will have their food trucks at the park for anyone who wants to buy an awesome lunch.
The event is Saturday, March 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
