Grab your bike and get in gear for Oakland’s first-ever Pedalfest at Jack London Square on Saturday, October 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A free event, Pedalfest will showcase what makes cycling such an entertaining activity for all ages and levels from dynamic cycling stunts to a vintage and handmade bike show.
“Pedalfest will be an event for anyone who loves bikes – whether they love the gear, the community, or just having fun on two or three wheels,” said Renee Rivera, Executive Director, East Bay Bicycle Coalition. “As a family-friendly event, Pedalfest will encourage all to share in the whimsy and uniqueness of our growing bike-centric culture.”
Traveling from outside of Oakland? Those traveling from SF with their bikes can ride the Ferry for free to Jack London Square (Blue and Gold fleet)! Worried about parking? Pedalfest will be offering free bicycle valet services. If you’re in the market for a new bike, purchase a raffle ticket at Pedalfest to support East Bay Bike Coalition and Walk Oakland Bike Oakland. Proceeds from the New Belgium Beer Garden will also benefit these non-profits.
