The early spring has been amazing. It’s bright, warm, and the air is fragrant from the blossoming flowers and trees. California gets a hard time for lacking all four season (skipping the crappy one), but there’s jealously behind that criticism because while the east was truly buried by snow, we were at the beach. Everything was perfect until I remembered that beautiful weather here generally means beautiful weather in Tahoe and not a lot of snowfall. We have a snow escape planned, which means the sunny weather was suddenly become my enemy.
Planning vacations ahead means picking a time that works and hoping the weather will cooperate. We may have lost the bet on our Tahoe vacation. I’ve been assured there is still snow and all is fine, but who wants hard, icy snow? Soft powder is where it’s at and unfortunately, that’s not a Tahoe…currently. As everyone enjoys the sunshine, I privately hope for rain.
Let it snow!
